Time Management
Do you sometimes get the feeling that you are just a hairs breadth away from finding true success? Finding jobs for stay at home moms is not easy. It seems like no matter how hard you try to discipline yourself or plan out your day, there is always just one little thing that comes up and suddenly you are completely off track again? Maybe you feel like you spend more time writing lists than actually getting things done.
The most important thing that we all strive for is being happy and enjoying our lives. Yet more often than not the million-and-one things on our to-do lists take over our lives and we start to feel unfulfilled, exhausted and depleted by the end of each day. Most people will tell you that if the most essential element missing from their lives is the extra time they need to enjoy their hobbies, spend quality moments with friends and family, grow their business or just for an overall sense of balance.
The thing that many people don’t fully realize is that, although certain responsibilities cannot be thrown out the window, simple improvements on their time management skills could make a vast difference. Think of the various reasons people could have to need more time, and then find your own compelling motive for wanting to manage your time better.
Here are some examples that you are likely to relate to: I want more time to have fun, spend with friends and family and to spend outdoors; Having more time to relax will allow me to feel a better sense of satisfaction, accomplishment and inner peace, rather than constant frustration; There are so many things I love to do like reading and listening to music that I just don’t get time for right now; It would be great if I could stop and smell the flowers, both literally and metaphorically, rather than trample over them in a constant mad dash to be somewhere I should have been 20 minutes ago.
Whatever reason you find that most compels you, write it down and put it somewhere you will have to see it often. Pin it on your fridge, paper-clip it to your planner, or stick it in your wallet. Now find a good book or online resource (there are plenty), and learn more about better time management and how you can put more of what you love back into your day.
At first you might find it hard to break habits and behaviors that have become ingrained in your daily routines and changing the way you do things might make you feel awkward. However, with the right amount of focus and desire to gain a better life, success is within your reach and you will never have to feel like you’re only ‘almost there’ again.
